Home Automation & Monitoring
(407 total words in this text) (420 reads)
Home Automation will utilize your whole house control system. While you are away on vacation, your lights can be programmed for vacation mode, turning on and off throughout the evening. Lights throughout the home are randomly turned on for a random amount of time, then turned off to simulate the owner is home.
In addition to your home's security system, we provide additional monitoring. Door contact sensors can monitor your exterior door(s) and garage door(s) for activity. When a family member arrives home, you will receive a text message to your cell phone stating which door was opened, time, and date. This monitoring can be setup for monitoring between certain days of the week, and hours, like 4pm - 8pm.
Sensors can also monitor for trouble. For example, water sensors can monitor for leaks in the basement. A slow drip can go un-noticed for weeks. A text message can be sent to your cell phone stating where the leaks is triggered. You or a family member can check for problems, reducing the amount of damage.
Smart Irrigation monitors the soils' moisture level. If the soil becomes too dry, the Irrigation system will turn on for a period of time, then turn off. The preferred time is usually 6am the following morning. See more about Irrigation Systems
Childrens TV's & videogames can be automatically turned off at their bedtime.
The control system will also go green, utilizing low power mode until activated again. When the system turns off... high power devices like audio amplifiers, TV's, surround receivers will go into low power mode. Yet, most electronics use a trickle amount of electrical energy, even when the device is turned off. But advanced programming can be setup for "Vacation Mode" to completely remove power to any device you choose throughout the home. Some homeowners unplug TV's, microwaves, washing machines, etc. every time they go on vacation. This system will remove the guesswork out of that process.
