Video Surveillance

Video Surveillance has become more popular these days. The range of products make it possible to install a standalone system (1 camera with built-in web server). It’s connected to your homes’ high speed Internet connection. It’s programmed to display video from any computer connected to the Internet via a web browser.

The next, more advanced system, also includes Internet viewing. Additional features include digital video recording (DVR) capability, control of video windows (switch between 2 or more cameras), triggered events, motion sensing, email alerts. This way you can monitor the Front door, Back door, Entrance Gate, Garage, perimeter of the property, or the “Nanny Cam” installed.

DVR storage systems come built in camera multiplexers… 4 camera, 8 camera or 16 camera inputs. These are the maximum number of cameras that can be installed on the unit. So add up all of the cameras you would like installed, wireless cameras and any additional prewired cameras. Then we can choose the appropriate size hard drive for storage.

Commercial installations, may require several cameras to display different angles of the cash register(s), condominium lobbies, parking lot(shown top right), loading dock, etc.

We can also setup so you can access these IP cameras from any touchpanel, television or computer in your home. With your remote or touchpanel, you can see how much traffic is on public highway cameras.

Some of the different cameras include an indoor camera, outdoor camera, bullet camera, dome camera, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera (shown top right), Internet-protocol (IP) camera (shown bottom right), USB camera for local computer use, discrete camera for undetected surveillance, wireless camera for remote locations. Exterior cameras operate from 14 degrees F to 104 degrees F. So cold climate cameras have an optional heater element.

Accessories may include infra-red night vision, motion sensors to record only when motion detected, different camera lenses for close or far viewing, ultra-violet filters, heater housings for winter, rain guards, and vandal resistant camera housings.
